2006 - Performance Innovations Corporation selected as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) for CompTIA - An Internationally Known Organization.

Performance Innovations Corporation awarded 2nd place finalist for the "Ultimate Home of the Year-2005" from the Consumers Electronics Association.

PIC was a previous "Home of the Year" winner for 1997 from the Home Automation Association.

On 2/25/05, The Consumer Electronics Association awarded Performance Innovations Corporation (PIC), a Genoa, Illinois based company, a Finalist position in the  “Ultimate Home of the Year” award for 2005 at the annual EHX show awards dinner in Orlando, Florida.

PIC is in the business of helping new home owners develop, construct, and live their automated environment. The home that won the 2nd place award was in Tucson, Arizona.

The Tucson Home was designed, installed, and programmed to meet tough owner requirements of:1.      Value-Engineered Equipment Selection2.      Aid in offsetting Degenerative Health Issues3.      Preventing a second wave of finance for computerized home systems.The Owners received a home with:

1. Electronically controlled Lighting and Power Distribution by Litetouch - best value on the market per dimmed load when compared to other systems. In addition to 63,000 watts of Interior Lighting and 21,600 watts of exterior lighting, the Litetouch system controls:

a.   5 zones 0f fresh air control-Outside air circulated through the house without heating or cooling.

b. 2 Inside fireplaces and 1 outside firepit in the rear pondc. Multi-stage pumps (up to 8 HP) for a dramatic rear mountain water flowd. Theater projector lifte. 39 Somfy window shadesf. 8 overhead fans with uplightingg. 103 Q-trans Low Voltage Variable Distribution Transformersh. Directional Driveway lights with signals from SureAction sensors.2.   Electronic signal handling and sound control by Crestron - best value system for sound amplification and distribution. The Crestron system was a “No Brainer” when compared to other systems for wattage per speaker over total load spectrum. In addition to supplying sound to 88 speakers located inside and outside the residence, the Crestron system also integrated to the:

 PIC WINS CRESTRON'S WORLDWIDE AWESOME AUDIO AWARD FOR 2005

 On Sept 10, 2005, at the CEDIA Show in Indianapolis, Indiana, Crestron Electronics presented their first ever awards for Residential Integration utilizing their equipment.

Of the 80 worldwide entries from 4 countries, there were several categories honored. PIC won the "2005 Awesome Audio" award for the Tucson Residence.

The Residence include 88 total speakers delivering sound to all interior rooms, the pool, and the rear pond areas. 4 Crestron 16x60 amplifiers with cascaded inputs provided 60 watts of power to each speaker.

The entire system was controlled through 8 TPS2000 touchscreens throughout the environment. Unique to the sound control was the ability for the owners to adjust the entire home volume with just one raise or lower button from any touchscreen. All touchscreens were identical and provided the owners complete flexibility of control from 8 locations - including individualized bass, treble,and balance controls for each of the zones.

 

 

 

PIC ADDS  VALUE FOR OWNERS BY PROVIDING ONE TOUCHSCREEN THAT CONTROLS 2 RESIDENCES

In 2008, PIC has successfully developed and installed Crestron TPMC 8X touchscreen panels that can control 2 residences owned by the same owner.  The Owner simply picks up his touchscreen from the first location, brings it to the second location, and selects the second location on the screen with one press and the touchscreen completely converts to the second location control.

PIC DEVELOPS REMOTE MONITORING OF PROPANE GAS LEVELS WITH CRESTRON AND CENTERON EQUIPMENT

In 2008, PIC has successfully developed and implemented a remote propane level reading capability utilizing Crestron and Centeron Equipment. The Owners can easily obtain their propane level utilizing the internet and Crestron X Panel controls.
